Set Theory Records comienza su andadura con el lanzamiento de su primer EP, un disco que refleja el espíritu mismo del sello: “Captains – Remix”.

CAPTAINS es el proyecto de la cantante y compositora alemana Fee Reega y el productor y guitarrista David Baldo. Una entidad creativa con dos cabezas que comenzó de forma fortuita hace dos años cuando ambos coincidieron en un estudio de grabación y, casi sin proponérselo, comenzaron a componer los temas que se incluyen en su disco de debut homónimo (Jabalina Musica, 2017).

Post-punk, shoegaze y krautrock, puntos de referencia sonora de esta banda (Grupo Emergente 2016 - Disco Grande - Radio 3), se convierten en electrónica elegante, bailable, potente y oscura en este EP compuesto por 4 remezclas.

En su cara A encontramos la visión de Killin’s Ürcos y DeRobla de “Noisy”, tracks que evocan una fantasía escapista, mientras que en su cara B, es Oscar Mulero quien remezcla “Touch Me, I’m Driving”,single que invita a comenzar un viaje hipnótico, lleno de paisajes sonoros atmosféricos, envolventes y cinematográficos.

Cierra el EP la remezcla de “Thanks for leaving me” del propio David Baldo, co-fundador de Captains, quien se atreve a dar un giro más eléctrico al tema original.

CAPTAINS is the project of the german singer and composer Fee Reega and the producer and guitarist David Baldo. A creative entity with two heads that began fortuitously two years ago when both coincided in a recording studio and, almost without intending it, began to compose the songs included in their self-titled debut album (Jabalina Musica, 2017).

Post-punk, shoegaze and krautrock, sound reference points of this band (Grupo Emergente 2016 - Disco Grande - Radio 3), become elegant, danceable, powerful and dark electronic in this EP composed of 4 remixes.

On his face A we find the vision of Killin's Ürcos and DeRobla of "Noisy", tracks that evoke an escapist fantasy, while on his B-side, it's Oscar Mulero who remixes "Touch Me, I'm Driving", a single that invites Begin a hypnotic journey, full of atmospheric soundscapes, enveloping and cinematographic.

The EP is closed by the remix of "Thanks for leaving me" of David Baldo himself, co-founder of Captains, who dares to give a more electric turn to the original theme.
